Membership
GFS is a "members only" society, in other words you must to be a member to watch our films as we are restricted from selling tickets on the door.
Membership is £35 per year and gives you entry to all screenings throughout the season. It is open to anyone over the age of 16; membership is not transferable.
We take in new members right through the season although anyone joining halfway through the season (from January onwards) can join at the reduced fee of £20.
How to Join
Rejoining as an existing member?
If you are simply renewing your membership, all we need is an email to our Membership Secretary members@godalmingfilmsoc.org.uk to confirm that you have sent a BACs payment to the GFS bank account. (Let us know if any of your contact details have changed.)

Important note: please use the bank's reference or comments field to put your last name in so that we know who the funds are coming from!
If any of your contact details have changed since last season, please also let us know in that email.
New member?
If you are interested in joining, download a membership form by clicking one of the buttons below, fill it out, email back to us (members@godalmingfilmsoc.org.uk) and make a BACS transfer. If you cannot make a BACS transfer, download the form, fill it out and send it with a cheque to the postal address on the form.
The first form below is a Word document so you will be able to fill it in on your computer, save it and then email it to us.
The second form is a PDF if you prefer to print it out, fill it in, scan it to send as an attachment in an email, or post to us if you are paying by cheque.
Once we have received the form plus payment from you, the membership secretary will email you to confirm receipt.

How much is membership?
Membership is £35 for all 18 screenings of the season.
I can't pay with BACS, how do I join?
If you cannot make a BACS transfer, download the form, fill it out and send it with a cheque to the postal address on the form.
What happens after I send you the form?
Once we have received the form plus payment from you, our Membership Secretary will email you to confirm receipt of payment and that you are a member.
Will I get a paper copy of the programme?
Yes, we will be printing this year and sending to existing members; these will also be available at the first few screenings in the Borough Hall for new members.
Will I get a membership card?
No, we have dispensed with membership cards.

Guests
As a member, you can bring up to two (2) guests to a screening.
The cost of guest tickets has increased from £5 to £6 each for the upcoming season.
Members are requested to pay by card (or cheque) on the evening of the screening.

What is F-Rated?
The F-Rating is applied to all films which are:
- Directed by women
- Written by women
- Has one or more significant women on screen
If it qualifies with one of the above it gets the Bronze rating.
If it qualifies with two of the above it gets the Silver rating.
If it qualifies with all three of the above it gets the Gold rating.
