We LOVE film!
We are a members only society which celebrates cinema by screening films that are rarely seen on the main circuit, with an emphasis on world cinema. We screen over 20 films on most Tuesdays from September to May at the Borough Hall in Godalming.
We are happy to announce the start of our 15th season and we will return to the Borough Hall to screen films in-venue from Tuesday 7 September!
We have a new line up of 18 films this season - all on Tuesdays at the usual time of 7:45 pm.
Membership will remain at £35 for the year and gives you entry to all screenings (or streaming) of our films. Please visit our Membership and Tickets page for more information and to download the membership form.
As we return to the Borough Hall we will be following Public Health England guidelines (social distancing, face coverings, one-way systems and other safeguarding measures) and working with Waverley Borough Council to look after you, our volunteers, and everyone in the Borough Hall.
The ongoing COVID-19 situation may mean that changes and/or cancellations will need to be made at short notice if we cannot continue to screen films at the Borough Hall. If so, we plan to revert to streaming films (as we did last season).
There are a number of questions and answers on this page which should help give you lots of information about the upcoming season - also what to expect when you attend our screenings. If you have any further questions please contact us using the email addresses at the bottom of this page, or by email email@example.com.
Finally, please share this message with anyone who may be interested in joining (or re-joining) Godalming Film Society now that we are back in the Borough Hall. Word of mouth is the main way that people find out about us, and sharing your excitement and positivity about our society is incredibly important to us.
We look forward to seeing you again at the Borough Hall!
