GFS in its fifth season

Godalming Film Society was founded in 2007 with the lofty aim of making world-class cinema accessible to a local audience. Each season, September to April, we show between fifteen to seventeen films, including contemporary art house films, foreign productions and classic movies. By joining the society, members will be able to enjoy exceptional cinema at about £2 per film. The Society is a member of the British Federation of Film Societies (BFFS).

We received funding for projection equipment from the National Lottery "Awards for All" scheme and Godalming Borough Council in our first year.

A successful sponsorship of the Staycation event in Godalming in August 2011 saw the screening of Toy Story 3 and a selection of music at the banstand.
